oh ok. well I was thinking both. the player could start over at any time before and after game completion. thanks for the plugins!!

You guys are missing what I'm asking. A game you can choose to start over from the beginning, while retaining your stuff. this has nothing to do with deaths or gameovers.

Can MV be used to create a game that can be restarted from the beginning, but keeping your characters name, level, skills, gold, and inventory?

I'm attempting to create a multiple lighting effect for a city. To be more specific I want to light up every street lamp on map 70x70. How do I get the picture shown to remain still as the player moves about? I am especially interested in doing this without plugins, if possible.

Speading of Doom, just got the Trilogy BFG edition on steam for like 5 bucks.

Super Metroid is an all-time favorite of mine. The entire series is. I would tag it under scifi shooter, puzzle adventure. Why do you consider it horror?
