Haha I love it xP awesome. Now you just gotta figure out how to attach your character sprite to the dragon to be a dragon rider xP (I've been pestering plugin makers for a mount plugin that will do this....forever lol but no luck yet xP). Sounds like you're off to a solid start on that story heh.

all i would need for the plugin is locking the actor then have a way for an event to trigger the airship and make the event move to were i land it then change back to the graphic in the event and save to were i put the dragon. I can put an actor on the dragon. but with out a plugin it would look off. and you would not be able to change actor graphic because the actor on the dragon would look different.

but what i would like is one were when he is on the ground he looks like the one on the right when he is flying he looks like the one on the left. So he don't look funny and will be able to move a lit around like a real animal. and with the ability to make him air or ground.

Now my hubby is working on a quest system for me, like the one with the editor but the one on the internet i cant get running on 1.3.1 so hubby is doing that LTN is booked to.

Well, it's been quite some time since I've posted here, I have been really busy with irl stuff and mostly programming plugins and learning more and more. I have really been dedicating most of my free time to developing plugins for the community in hopes to get my name a bit more known to possibly start a patreon or start doing commissions when the time is right.
In the last month alone I have developed My Core Plugin, Time Engine, Day & Night, Item Categories and I have finished a Layers plugin (won't be released until a few more weeks). Aside from the plugins I've completed I have started 3 more plugins, Time Control which allows for time traveling and timers, the timers allow for spawning events and setting conditionals to have time limits on them, basically if you want to make a farm game my Time Control plugin will do the job. The Time Control plugin is about 80 - 85% completed, the next plugin I started is my Window Core plugin, which will be similar to what Yanflys Core plugin accomplishes but with more customizations and better code smell lol.
Next up, I started my quest journal plugin which will come with a Quest Editor which will work with all platform including Mac and Linux and if you have quest ideas on the go, you will be able to use it on Android as well ( still skeptical about releasing for android but I probably will anyways). On top of all of this, I am a part of a pretty solid game dev team called Lost Game Advocates, and we have started the development of our first "test" game which is turning out really nice and by the time it's complete should be a pretty well made game showing off what our team can accomplish within a month and half time.
That should be it for now, I'm sure I have other plugins I started but have not quite remembered lol, anyways keep an eye out for my next wave of plugins I'm sure there will be some gems in there everyone would like to use. See you for now, until next time :D

lol fashion police.

Alright, so here's my revised idea for the church roof type. This is before the textures and color matching so it won't look perfect yet. I didn't go with my original (long slant) roof since I felt it was too long and would look awkward. Instead, I'm combining the slanted roof with a box roof type and a steeple to create this: http://prntscr.com/cqdb5y

So, what'cha think? Unique enough for a church while still keeping a church appearance. (I have seen several real churches shaped this way so I think it's alright "and my game is a fantasy world so it can be however I please xP") The window in the steeple will have that bell I wound up making lol so hopefully it fits alright with the style. I'll add the shading as I did with the first roof once the texture is wrapped to the angle of it perfectly.

thats a good start. I like the shape.
And the next step after that one is this: http://prntscr.com/cqdmn6
The curved part will still be there but you all have already seen that in it's full glory lol so this is just the box steeple parts xP now fitted with the Liberty bell...I mean...church bell xP. I had to rotate the textures to match the roof slopes for these though so they may not match.
[doublepost=1475726183,1475722974][/doublepost]Alrighty! And here's how the idea looks in game xP I love it lol. http://prntscr.com/cqdylr

Turned out far better than I thought it would.

I love it. Can't wait for it.
I can already see a spot where your shadows would make a huge difference (for my building there at least). On the right side it can have a shadow cast from the steeple which would add lots of depth to that slanted roof on the right there. Without it, it's not as in depth, but it shows just enough to be believable though! I'm excited to see how the next one turns out.

Oh, I also made two flat roof parts in case anyone doesn't want to use the steeple with that set xP so they can just plug in one of the flat parts and it'll look the same just without the steeple. Definitely adds some flexibility.

So far, I don't need motivation -- I can't wait to get back to work on it, it's finding time that's hard for me.

Buuuut last time I DID have time, I added a maze of stairwells (tongue)

Time is always the villain in game development lol. I barely get what I want done because I barely have time to do it in. But when I do get time, like earlier, I manage to get a bunch done.

So, today for TOTL, I added in the Currency exchange system as well as the material vendor. In addition to that, my buildings roofs of course. This leaves Weshrain's town center roughly half finished as of now. I have 3 roof parts I need to make and another roof type altogether then all of the town center will be finished and ready to test out xP
[doublepost=1475821464,1475764125][/doublepost]Aaaannd the third roof is finished! http://prntscr.com/cqtqav Check it out. I basically made the same "box" type roof everyone else has already made but with my personal texture (even though I did technically draw the entire thing myself from scratch lol). It has inner corner pieces so you can make unique buildings with it. I also added the slanted roof type as well since some may not want a box roof look.

If I think of any other types of roofs I'll be sure to make them as well, but I think these three alone broaded the variations you can make by a ton already. Let me know if you guys have any other ideas for roof types xP
[doublepost=1475825125][/doublepost]lol ok so I found several parts that I needed that were missing so made those too xP now it looks chaotic lol but in a good way since that's like 24 ways to make a roof in one! http://prntscr.com/cquatb
[doublepost=1475831127][/doublepost]And here's what they look like ingame!

Building 1
http://prntscr.com/cquu4j

Buildings 2-3
http://prntscr.com/cqv6zw

Building 4
http://prntscr.com/cqvb9s

And with that Weshrain's exterior town center is pretty much done. I have to add a few more bits here and there to make the buildings look less "just a wall" lol but that's easy.

Note: I did notice the shadow problems....sadly this is caused by my effect I have applied to the set. I'll turn that off on the official set since the same effects can be done with shadow overlays xP. The parts actually merge perfectly, it's just the effect causing those very obvious clashes lol. I'll have it fixed though!

@sinister You accomplish so much in the run of a day or two it's crazy, you have been a dedicated hard worker throughout this entire thread, good stuff.
Well, I've officially got a decent prototype of my quest system, still an early build and I put the Quest editor on hold until I have the basics accomplished inside MV itself. Still lots to do but it's coming along, take a look.Screenshot_2.png

Thanks! I've been striving to make TOTL as good as I can! I tend to fix the things people complain about first (as a good dev would naturally xP) and then move on to adding more stuff and fixing other stuff I find during testing. One of the most complained about things was the "City" looked more like a village with 2 houses. lol So I had to seriously change that. It's gonna have 4 districts now, and the first is done xP, so it'll be much bigger. The second most complained about, is the lack of "liveliness" with the NPC's. (Even though they change at night, change what they say at each point in the day, and roam freely without any designated path currently.) Not sure where they're missing liveliness, but now I'm going to make them enter and leave shops, act like customers browsing goods, have little gab conversations in the taverns/inns that change as the story progresses. There's going to be a lot more "liveliness" with them with all of that I believe. And with the big expansion to Weshrain comes the need for more NPC's, which opens the door to several new side quests, player housing, and much more. xP Needless to say, this next major build is gonna take awhile, but it should show insane improvement on the previous 0.58 build. It will also have Chapters 4 and 5 included as well, leaving only 2 more chapters for the final demo version of the game.

Your quest system looks pretty amazing already! It looks like it has some good potential behind it. Nice progress on that!
[doublepost=1476094535,1475861997][/doublepost]Today I started transferring the relative events over to the new Weshrain town square. They are running smoothly and everything is looking more lively with them. In addition to the existing NPC's, I added 5 new ones! 2 are animals, 1 a criminal, and the rest are commoners who roam the town square. During each time of the day, they change what they say.

I also revised the two guards blocking access to the Noble District/Greymoore Castle. Now they are 4 guards (2 day shift, 2 night shift) who all have their own personalities and react differently to the player trying to pass them or talking to them directly. I moved them off to the side of the entrance rather than directly blocking it, and added 2 events on the roadway between them to prevent access.

The criminal NPC will offer a quest xP, and you guessed it, criminal deeds. This is the first of many many criminal based quests. These type of quests will have good rewards, but harsh penalties. This first one is relationship penalties only though, and it is accessible the first time you enter Weshrain and any point from there on until you either help or decline his offer. It will however also have positive relationship gains for the characters who are alright with criminal actions. (After a certain number of criminal quests being completed, a special character will become available at some point in the game xP)

Anyhow, continuing everything dealing with the new Weshrain. The town square is completely finished now and I'm now working on the interiors of the new and old buildings that are in this district (the Inn and Aqueduct were the only two that were already made so I'm revamping those to fit the new looks). The Embassy of Oricai should prove fun to make the inside for, especially with all the requests that the NPC's in there will have to offer throughout the game xD. Busy busy me....busying onward! lol That's it for now though....am tired heh, but it's coming along nicely.

I made a couple more character sprites and one or two maps for one of my projects today. The character sprites I'm happy about...Because one is a character I treat as my personal mascot in my writing (I will shove her anywhere most likely if I need a side character, but for this project I finally made her in, she's a main)...and I made a character using our lovely @Xyphien's name because why not? So yay. Xyphien is a character now.

Maps I made are a simple hallway, a house exterior that needs a lot of work, and a tiny, tiny room that acts as an elevator. It already has a minor sprite I made as the operator, but for now it just says "What floor would you like to go to?"

Now I'm off to attempt database work. Because I'm still figuring out things like classes vs. subclasses.

That sounds like what I do for characters lol. I name a bunch after people who have helped me in some way with the project xP. Definitely a great way to do it heh.

@Jodis looking like a great start on that swamp xD. Need some dark swamp grass too heh (as I'm sure you know). But yeah, off to a good start with what you have so far.

Today I've started working on a 3D character model that I am gonna try to make my video intro with. It'll be the only use for the character, but the intro should be nice to draw in players and give them an idea of what's gonna go down. If all works out fine, I may use her for other important events and such too. It all depends though if I can manage to make a video intro and not have it look crappy lol.

For an idea of what she looks like so far after spending like...4 hours on her: http://prntscr.com/cst5dv
I'm following a drawing of Lucia that I made so everything is pretty accurate comparing to the reference. I think I need to work on her arms a bit more to get the proportioning correct though. xD And no she won't look alien forever haha!

Also in TOTL I added a couple more NPC's and adjusted some enemies to fit better battlers that just made more sense lol. Haven't done much else with it today, just some minor edits here and there.
