@Jay is right, this is quite a reasonable thing to do. I knew someone who used RPG Maker to make a game that helped teach children in Japan the 1,000 most common Kanji characters as part of a class project. If you put your mind to it, almost anything is possible.

@MinisterJay I suppose some backgrounds will be better for different resolutions. The MV-Tan backgrounds work much better on 1080p and above resolutions, probably even more so on those 21:9 ultra widescreen monitors.

Unfortunately for the kids where I live, most of our local celebrations are all celebrated during weekend days, but this is usually countered by our school district being crazy scared of the slightest bit of snow, so every year when the ground is white school is likely out.
