What scripts would you like made?

I would love to see a script to add Attack Power (Weapon stat) and Physical Defense (Armor stat), like in the old rpg game's fashion as the Final Fantasy series (or RPG Maker XP).

I'd like to see a script that allows you to make top-down shooters. Think Cave games or Touhou or any other shmup.
Oh, and then make it multiplayer so two or more people could play together.

YES! That is a great idea, and totally do-able. I am curious do you know anything of hit detection and MV?, I am really curious if the hit detection will be improved, to not just a tile hitbox but rather a sprite or graphic hit detection for smoother interactions. I also love the idea of multiplayer which I believe will be way more possible than any previous vesion of RM.

SHUMP shooting in lieu of Battles, anyone?

I don't think you'll be getting any sophisticated collision detection.
If anything, it will still be using Ace's tilemap format: simply checking if your position is equal to the target's position.

However, pixiJS may be able to offer some help with that.
And if it doesn't...you might look at Box2D or other 3rd party libraries.

You can virtually event the first part.

I'd know, as I have done it. Though a script does make it a lot easier. The collision detection being still based on squares is going to damper any sort of touhou game, just use game maker for that it's honestly not hard to do I've done close to it myself and I'm a novice at GM.

Two player... you know what, I'd be down with a plugin like that, just because I've had some cool ideas for two player minigames.

Well, it's not like you'd need to use tile-based collision detection when you're building a touhou scene...

If there was a way to embed a Game Maker project in an RPG Maker project, I wouldn't mind, but at this point I would find it more productive to be able to build a shooter engine into RM and let people customize it however they wish.

It's forced by default. You'd need pixel movement and a pixel checking collision script... sorry: plugin-- for any kind of faithful touhou game.

That said, you may know something I don't.

That... wasn't what I meant. I meant just don't make Touhou games in RPG Maker and use game maker for it instead.

I might have missed this one, but Synthesis? Not sure if that's item crafting or what have you; I'm talking FFIX-style where you add one weapon to an item or another weapon and make a unique thing not found anywhere else (minus rare steals). I always loved that feature and am thinking about implementing something similar to it. (There is a tinker character that joins the party!)

Ditto to the FF Tactics system; jobs are awesome, though I wouldn't go as broad as that spectrum. Maybe just a couple branches per character.

I'm hoping, though doubtful since he's been inactive for so long, that Mr Bubble will update his Tactics Ogre Crafting System script as a plugin for MV. That crafting system is one of the largest facets in Menagerie, and it was awesome that things I suggested actually were implemented. Such as recipebook covers and other smaller things. He's still around just, incredibly busy.

Some baseline crafting plugin would be good if I ever decide to remaster Terra in MV, since it was the first game I made to have a crafting system, though it was way more limited than Menageries.

I would love the aforementioned "Tactics" style of battles, but not isometric, just use tiles and sprites!
(see: the "KingsTurn" games on android, or old TSR goldbox games, or even Chess / Checkers!)

Also, would be amazing to have some sort of back-end database online storage for HTML5 games. SQL, or otherwise. This would be amazing to have for an Asynchronous multiplayer "sim"/strategy thingy.

I would like to see a Quest support system. Something that you can have in your in game menu to look at active quests, as well as the ability to actually make a quest and have the rewords that would come to you if you complete the quest given. On another note, I would like to see a skill tree menu, where you can select a skill as you level up in the form of a skill tree, so each time you play the game you make, you can select different skills, which will change your battle rate each time you play a new game. I've seen these done in ace, but... obviously there are none like this for MV and I think there is much potential.
