It's 1899... Hell's Kitchen, New York City...
You're running in the streets on a rainy night. You're short of breath as if you were running from someone or something; either escaping the cold rain or a darker world. You arrive to stay at a newly built hotel, but not everything is as it seems. This hotel wasn't announced in the newspaper. You decide to stay for a while, but you have trouble trying to sleep. Then everything changes. Everything goes black and there is very little light other than the lantern you have. With the light you have, the room you were staying at was nothing but rust and blood. As soon as you come back to reality, every exit to the outside is locked or blocked off. You now either have to find a way out or be part of the world before the sleep...
MAIN CHARACTERS


Mister E White
The main character that you play. After deciding to stay at the mysterious hotel, you become trapped in it. While trying to find a way out, you also meet people that either deserve a quick death or be given mercy. The choice is your.

Diyu Tao-Li

A worker at the hotel who comes from China during the Boxer Rebellion. He's the first person you meet and has a history of Alchemy and research of dark arts. He is basically your guide through the World of the Sleep.

Dan Hallorann
The manager of the new hotel who is also trapped in the hotel trying to find a way out.

Ann Blac
A young woman that you meet who is also trapped. A mysterious woman who had hardships she wanted to get away from. She came to the hotel to collect her thoughts, but is also flung in the World of the Sleep.

Father Flagg Lowe
A priest at the hotel's chapel.

Thanks for presenting it like a movie advertise on the television. Even though the content may be strong, you made the information presented, suitable for all audiences. I like the play on words with the characters' names. ;)

This looks promising. Yes (ferocious) I'm looking forward to seeing these corrupted characters in action. This game is gonna be awesome, the maps look rad. It's gonna be like an interactive movie with the decisions and I love these kind of games. Looking at the whole presentation of the games make me want more. Good job(cool)

For the Alpha, there will be 3 in total due to either upgrading the scripts or other changes, You'll probably see only one or two corrupted characters at a time, due to time. The Beta would be reserved for testers while the Alpha is free for everyone to try.

As for interactive movie with the decisions, you're pretty close. Most of the story is inspired by Steven King characters with elements of Silent Hill and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The decision maker was loosely inspired by the choices made in Undertale; do you choose to kill the monsters or not? Either way, your choice on who will live and who will die will effect the outcome. However, the corrupted characters has something tragic happen to them in the past which is a driving point to how they became corrupt. After hearing bits and pieces here and there you either give the character mercy or be their executioner.

I want to add in a combat element, either a gun or a knife, so it'll be like survival horror, but I have yet to find a suitable ABS for RMMV. I already have a HUD ready and if I do use a gun, I want the MP to be the ammo.

Some progress has been made. I implemented a Tinderbox Item for Torches in certain areas. You can only use one Tinderbox per Torch to give you more light, but they will be hard to find and they must be used sparingly.

I want the finished game to be more than 4 hours and a good Replay Value, because if Angry Joe reviews it, which I doubt because he reviews AAA games, I don't want him to yell 4 HOURS!

The engine update: I have a Closet System where it can have items or an instant death. This is a jumpscare element by pressing your luck. I created a video of the jumpscare, but all I can say is "Good God, What have I done! ^_^""

If I can't find a script that uses a bullet or sword element for both the player and enemy, sort of an ABS, then I would have to move on where the gameplay is like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and go from there.

I can't seem to edit the top page anymore. I guess I'll have to update like this for now.​

In short, audio creation is complete with Stinger Sounds and Creepy Ambiance. I'm going to test a dagger system instead of a gun system. The dagger system is when your dagger gets dulled overtime and you would need to find a sharpener item. This will also give you the chance to upgrade your Dagger to have it stay sharp and last longer before sharpening it again. If the evented ABS works, then I'll try that.

There is a slight problem... I want to make sure that when this Alpha comes out along with the other Alphas, Betas, and the Final Product, that nobody can steal or edit the game where it would ruin surprises and spoil the story. I've heard of the Enigma Virtual Box in the documentation, but everybody's been having trouble with it. If I can't encrypt it, then this Alpha will stay at %95 forever. If anybody knows a good encryption program so that my game can be protected, please let me know.
[doublepost=1457599398,1457302518][/doublepost]GOOD NEWS! I got a weapon system in place using Yanfly's Button System. By pressing 1-9, you can choose your weapon that you may find lying around to help defend yourself. I really love the Conditional Branch, it helps a lot but the only disadvantage is that it takes time. Each monster needs it's own variable as a counter and each event/enemy has about 12 event pages worth. It'll take time once I go into the Beta Stages.

After that's done, I'll have to make a separate HUD for items for health and health growth. with the aid of Yanfly's Button System and the Conditional Branches. This will take some considerable time because it has to deal with a lot of testing and a lot of patience. Next time, I'm making the HUD first. Once the HUD and Enemy Testing is finished, I'll move into creating the Alpha I Maps. My goal is to be done by the end of March with a gameplay time of 1-2 hours (AngryJoe, if your looking at this, the final production of the game is going to be longer than that considering the potential replay value.) Once the maps are taking shape, new screenshots showing off gameplay and the HUD will be posted.

Also, still looking for a good encryption program for security purposes. If you know one, let me know ASAP. Because I want to encrypt the game before I do any Crowdfunding.

However, I have to change the name for one of the monsters. I'm changing Jigger to Creatlach. Reason being, and I didn't know about it until I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary, "Jigger" is a racist term, so that's not good. I greatly apologize to anyone that may have been offended by that term and changes will be made immediately. If there are any other names that should be changed, please tell me as soon as possible.

MHM new updates(uhh) Seems like you've been working a lot the last weeks. Did you manage to make a HUD?
Unfortunately I don't have a plan where to find a good encryption software. Anyways good luck and feed us with screenshots *please*(puppy eyes) Im gonna look if i can find anything you still need, gotta keep my eyes open~

Just a little update. Still working on maps, but I do have a HUD to show. It might not be perfect, but it is functional.

I've been working getting my YouTube back in order and doing my video Projects and Doujinshi review show, Japanese Underground. But I'm going to continue with this project as well on Fridays and Saturdays. So let's get building.
