I've a Web version of my Rachdale Cheese Demo, which I'd like to have hosted, so that it may be tested (and enjoyed..?) without having to download it. It works fine when I run it from my local PC. I've uploaded it to a Google Drive, from where it runs, but I can't get past the first couple of screens, as I get an error message (Failed to load: data/Map006.json...). I can see the map in question, so it has, in fact loaded, but apparently something stops it going very far. I've tried Chrome, Opera, even Edge; all the same result.
My question, then...
Has anyone successfully hosted on Google Drive before..? Are there any limitations with Web deployment that I should know about (Event complexity..?). Is there any other hosting site, easy to use and preferably free, that will certainly work smoothly..?
Here's the link to use to try this yourselves...
Rachdale Cheese Demo, Web version 0.43...
I'd like to be able to propose an exclusively Web demo, as it would be much easier to maintain, only a few elements needing updating (the music and graphics are mostly static, now...), and anyone could try it without the kerfuffle (a technical term...) of downloading etc. Am I wrong..?
Any help with this (including cries of 'Desist..! It's lunacy..!) will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance; meanwhile...
Have a nice day
Douglas

I seem to have become rather specialised in answering my own Help Requests..! Long may that last..! I've found out that, for hosting Web versions on a Google Drive, the shared folder must have Public permissions, not simply 'Hidden', even though these are available to anyone with the link. Once made 'Public', my Web version works just fine. I even managed to prove my point about updating, as I had already done a couple of 'tweaks' since, which I was able to incorporate by simply uploading the 'data' folder, nothing more. This took all of 3 minutes, instead of the nearly 2 hours needed to update the Windows, Mac and Web 'zip' files. Win..!
Here's the (Public..!) link for anyone to use for testing this Demo; future updates will be signalled in the usual manner...

Rachdale Cheese Demo, hosted Web version ...

Please leave comments (positive or otherwise, but always polite, please..!) in the thread for this Demo (linked here ...); all Testers will be mentioned in the 'Credits' page of all future versions, of course...

Rachdale Cheese Demo ...

Thanks in advance.
