This portion of the thread is only a small example portfolio for this website. More can be found @ http://applemassacre.imgur.com/all/ I was looking for this section of the site. Time to show that SGE was not all he was cracked up to be back in his days as young artist. It's really life changing different.

For those interested in Vibrant Horizon. https://www.patreon.com/user?ty=h&u=3423748

Don't know how much this page can take as far as loading so that's enough for now. You can just shoot me a message and i'll send you more if you're curious!

These are great, I get feelings of happiness when scrolling through those images <<--- This is a good thing. I love having another graphic artist around, they are increasing everyday now, and I like what I have seen so far for logos and stuff, do you have more graphic work like this to present to us? Oh and I agree with what @Amysaurus has said, it's like minimilstic at its best.

I like how you stick to very simple palettes in your designs. There's just enough detail to keep things interesting, but enough simplicity to make the viewer want to know more. :)

I thank you guys both. Sometimes I try to get into a lot of detail but it ends up a mess for me. Usually I find it that things can be nice with simplicity. <3 I do actually have more graphics in the making. I'll have to bust out my studio laptop for that later then. Don't ask how many laptops I have, you don't want to know. ;D

I know it's been awhile and I'm not sure if there's a necropost rule but I just wanted you guys to know I updated this with 2016 pictures. Also promoting my new site i'm trying to make called Vibrant Horizon and the characters look like that guy in that 2016 section.

Sorry and Very Respectfully,

As long as you're contributing, there's no problem with necroposting here. It's also your own thread, so it's all good (cheeky)

I'm liking your 2016 work so far! I think my only complaint is that the hair and face on the character has enough detail to it to make the rest of the outfit look a bit bland. I think your 2015 characters are a good example of achieving a balance between the details in all parts of the design. Keep it up, though! You're doing really well so far (smile)

As everyone is saying, the simplicity looks very nice :D I especially like the designs of those symbol thingies for Vibrant Horizon.

And I agree with Amy on the hair/face and clothes part, the hair/eyes have too much detail compared to the clothes. Or the other way around. XD
I'd also like to say that the skin has no shading whatsoever, but it might be a stylistic choice.

Also Amy, did you mean 2014 characters? lel

You guys most certainly are right. The overall time putting the avatar together, mostly took up the face and hair, which wasn't long. And then well of course, the half butt-put together clothes LOL

I'M LAZY GUYS PLEASE.

You've got some really solid motifs going on. But like others have been saying, there's a clash of parity between simple and real. Just refine those into each their own thing, and you'll be an incredible artist in no time!

17 April 2016 Update
MV-Tan is here to play guys! Did you know MV-Tan has an older sister? Well she's here. Take these picture, it'll last longer!
**Used the site's BG MV-Tan's structure as a reference. Originally was going to design MV-Tan in such a way but I figured along the way why not draw her a sister so it could add to more of a story to MV-Tan.

Nope. Sorry guys.
Nope. Sorry guys.

17 April 2016 Update
Fan Art & Practice for someone on DeviantART.
**I'm beginning to ask for some free sketches from you guys. If you could provide some type of basic sketch I could use to and recreate for practice purposes please let me know!

@Status Gear Entertainment: I hadn't seen this when it was posted, and it looks good.... except it's a direct copy of my drawing?

I get it, she's the community mascot, but that doesn't make it okay to take my work without my permission.

Yes, it's the redirect mascot made in a different art style for practice. I haven't been on lately to see this reply so I apologize for the late reply. I'll take it down since there's no sense in going to fight this case. It's your artwork as a reference and you don't allow redistribution. Got that. Didn't mean to hurt any feelings or anything, it was more or less a practice run. I just had forgot who the artist was to credit to be honest, now I know. I'm sorry Amy.

Relax, relax, I mean no harm in this. My activity on here and in general have been decreasing over time due to priorities in real life so I didn't have any actual time to explain myself until now.

Again, I didn't attempt to "take" or "steal" anything. Let that be known. I even mentioned in the update bump post that it was a reference, as in, there was an existing picture that was already made before I decided to draw this. The reference clearly wasn't mine. I thought nothing wrong of it at the time seeing that I redrew it for community itself, it is posted no where else on the internet and it was intended for you guys. I just had overlooked and forgot who the artist was and it happened to be one that doesn't authorize redistributions. Next time I'll ask.

Oh, you didn't hurt my feelings - you made me angry. See, I wouldn't have had a problem if you were merely referencing my art. You can't just say you were using a piece as a reference once the similarities are so close that it looks like you just flipped the drawing over and traced it.

If you couldn't figure out who to credit, and couldn't be bothered to ask, you should've found another piece to reference. I'm sure every kid who forgot to credit an author in an essay meant no harm either. That doesn't mean they won't risk getting kicked out of school.

Regardless if you want it to be called that or not, it is stealing. You had the drawings up with a "For Commercial Use" license I never offer for my own work, meaning that you were giving anyone on the site a chance to take it and make a profit off of it without ever contacting, paying, or even crediting me.

Saying you did it "for the community" sounds nice, but doesn't help you - what, it's only intended that a specific audience can profit off stolen work? Great.

Note: It wouldn't have mattered if I allowed redistribution of my work or not, because I was never properly credited in the first place.

Yup, if you steal art and people find out, at least have the guts to say "Okay fine, I'm sorry" (hurt)
It's fairly clear you flipped it and traced then re-did a bunch in your own style, and while it looks good, the commercial licencing thing means this really isn't a good thingy... be more careful in future, art thieving isn't nice! (right)(thumbsdown)

Hey, SGE. Your revision of Amy's original drawing is pretty good. I like what you did with the eyes. Just be careful when you use other artwork as a reference for your own. Always credit the original author and/or ask permission. I'm sure you already know that, though.

In the first place one has to ask @Lulu if one can use the character mv tan for commercial use since it's hers. I'm not gonna comment further since everything has been said. Hope something like that just doesn't happen anymore in the future

If you try to find out who the artist of a pic is, drop it in your browser and search the picture with google, you'll probably find the original site where it has been posted first and you can credit the artist ;)

Okay everyone, you all had something to say and SGE had made an apology, I will be locking this topic as there is no need for any more publicity, arguing and proving points it is now up to the staff to deal with the rest and privately speak with the members about everything. Bizarre Monkey, stop with the foul language when speaking of the staff members here.
