Smilie embeds are getting ridiculous, yo!

If I can't type the roman numerals for 12 without seeing this XII then I must confess this is ridiculous.

If I can't type Excited in caps because the XI is a smilie, then that's horrible.

And no, I don't feel I should have to type [ plain ] [ /plain ] tags every time I say something that triggers the smilies.

Just an easy way to turn them off would be great. Cheers!

What I can do is remove the function to type them directly, and have you manually click the smileys and add them manually, however this will have people complaining about the smileys not being added manually. Regardless of how I do things, someone will complain about the changes I make to the smileys. I'll make a poll on this later to see what the majority says, and we will go with whoever wants the update/lack of more.
