How many other people bought the RPG Maker 2003 when the English version came out?

I liked it having the SBS battle system, and the really ole school look.

Yeah, on humble along with 2k for like 90% off IIRC.

I have them because I had coupons, probably the same thing @HotfireLegend mentioned. I really like the sprite and tile style of it :)

i have it too because i like the style and i tend to open it now and then to see what i can do :P plus the list of animations u can use for yer characters I just love

Oh and also I bought on release

The only ones I do not have are VX and pre-2003. That makes 2003 (English), XP, VX Ace, and MV.

Since I started with 2k and 2k3 I really should buy the official English versions. If not for anything other than just supporting what gave me joy back then.

I did. I now officially have them all. Except for 95, not really interested in that any more.

I had it, but I really didn't like the grossly pixelated tilesets much. Eventing was also a REAL pain back then. Thank goodness for MVlution! I admit though that the battle system and sprites from 2003 were big favorites.

That was a Day 1 buy for me, but it's more for legally owning the resources if anything. I never felt like sitting down and making something serious on it.
