or just planning or compiling resources to use for now?

I would say wait for making and maps or using MV for the game, but compiling resources and writing a story, database ideas, enemy ideas etc would be okay I assume. Again though wait for Xyphien to respond :)

hehehe. They were asking if they could start making maps and compiling resources before the start date of the contest.
That's what I thought, but the thing about this event is, it was poorly managed, and poorly scheduled on my end, and the start day is already here :O "You will have 1 week (By the First of November) to make a small game with a Halloween theme behind it." Was the actual end date.
This was a fail on my end, and something I already learned from, the next event which will start November 2nd will be a lot more organized, and structured!

No worries, it feels like the population - while growing - is a bit locked in with the game making right now; the forums seem somehow less peppy and active considering the influx of people, you know? Maybe give it a little while and people will be back more and noticing these things. You're doing a great job, @Xyphien, and I look forward to seeing the next contest!
Yes I agree, even with the big increase in members, it's still less active than usual and you're right to assume everyone is busy using MV, except me I spend too much time on here and making Sock Quest and a Haloween game lol. Also Xyphien I asked in an earlier post that you must not noticed, will there be judges for the games being created? If so I will be a judge :)

I was wondering this; I won't competing in any contests because I plan to give my game 100% focus for this first year with MV. Any chance I could request being a judge? Being new you know I'm impartial. 8D
@Storytailor @LTN Games I'm pretty sure not too many people will participate with this event, so as of now, either by my self, or allowing the community to vote on the game will do. But this next event I'm making, will require some judges, and I'll add a template on how to apply for such a role :D
