RMF New Year Game Jam!

INTRODUCTION:
RMF.GG is hosting a New Years Game Jam to start off it's re-opening as a website! Back in 2015 RMF was originally known as RMMV.co or RPGMakerMV.co and later shut down in 2019 for remodeling. Now, open and ready for the new year RMF.GG is live once again and trying to start things off right, and what better way to do that than with a New Year Game Jam!

PRIZES:
We all want to know what we're getting when we join any sort of event, and the prizes are listed below:
  1. First Place winner will receive a special Award on the forums of RMF.GG as well as any game development resource, or game they want under $15 on the RMF.GG website!
  2. Second Place Winner will receive a special Award on the forums of RMF.GG as well as any game development resource, or game they want under $5 on the RMF.GG website!
  3. Third Place Winner will receive a Special Award on the forums of RMF.GG as well as any game development resource, or game they want under $1 on the RMF.GG website!
All participants of the Game Jam will receive a participation award on the forums! (So make sure you're registered)

RULES:
Every game jam has it's rules, these are our rules:
  • The game genre must be a RPG Game.
  • You must have at least 10 minutes of gameplay time in the game.
  • You MUST be using RPG Maker as your game tool.
  • Any version of RPG Maker works: RPG Maker 95, 2003, XP, VX, VX ACE, MV, and MZ all are okay for use!

OUTRO:
If you don't already have RPG Maker and wish to join the event, you can pick up any copy on steam or their official website by clicking the highlighted text :)

All games can also be uploaded to our resource section found HERE as well as sold if you decide to finish the game after the jam!

I'm working on a city building sim in RPG Maker, but there will be RPG elements (i.e. there are quests to complete, stats to maintain and improve, and a lot is decided by virtual dice rolls) - would that still be accepted for submission?

As long as you're developing it after you've joined the event and as long as there will be rpg elements such as quests, and everything you've mentioned it shouldn't be an issue :)
