Putting 'New Blogs Section' In Left Panel

On the left panel of the home page, could we create a new category named New Blogs, and like the New Posts and New Profile Posts, list the most current five? There are some really awesome blogs in there, and some I just realized were updated. This would give this special area of the forum more exposure, and also may lead to more activity. It would additionally push down that ad on the bottoma little more.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but the sidebar already feels super cluttered as-is. I feel like we'd have to do the same thing for new wiki entries too, though, if we did this. It's another "special area" that doesn't get much attention. :O

I can always attempt to get a homepage type of thing going if you all would really like to. However, with my experience with the homepage on Xenforo it's extremely complicated, and the owner of the program doesn't like to help out much... at all.

I meant the forum page. When you press the home page and forum page tabs, the results are the same.


I was also trying to push those Filipino and Russians ladies further down the side bar.


UPDATE: I am viewing the forum page from a large monitor. I have not seen it from smart phone view, so that would indeed put more clutter from those viewing from a smaller screen.

The side bar is put at the bottom of the page on my phone, in both landscape and portrait mode. My phone is 5.5″, so it will most likely be the same for smaller phones. So I think it shouldn't be a problem for phones.

More technical: the breakpoint in layout is at 800px width (try resizing your browser window). When the available screen with on the device is below 800px, it will put the side bar at the bottom. Conclusion, the current design of the site is simply very awesome!

The this is about this @Amysaurus brought up. We do this, we're going to have to do it for the Wiki, resource, etc. as they are all important part of the forums.
