Hello everyone, we now have a brand new theme! This theme is similar to the last theme, with the option to change the background of the theme to 1 of 7 (Currently) backgrounds!

In this thread you can tell us how you like or dislike the new theme, as well as report any and all bugs.

Yeah, I'll have the old theme added back here soon. I'm just trying to get everyone over to this theme prior to doing so. What do you not like about this theme vs. the old theme. It seems to be exactly the same to me in almost every aspect just with added customization.

I love it so far, I have not gone through the entire website with it yet, but I really like how everything stands out more, for example the toolbar for each post stands out more compared to text links.

Also, I find the indicator to see if a forum category has new posts/topics, I find way easier to see, I like how the nav bar follows you through the page, personally I've used this option on a lot of websites I've created so it's familiar to me, though some people may not like this, is it optional?
It's very similar to the old theme, just stands out a bit more, adds a bit more balance and contrast to the overall look, should make it easy for new members. I also really like how the collapsible forums work, the extra bounce effect was interesting to see lol. Anyways I'll be back with more feedback as I continue to use it.

Love it. Small issue is that the red bars on the right (the one where you put announcements) are not perfectly aligned horizontally

Okay so I have a few more things I've noticed, some good some not so good.

Contrast between read and unread posts is way more noticeable
this is actually great, I can now clearly see what topics are unread and what topics have been read.

All locked posts or watched threads, are very easy to notice now with the new red icons, awesome.
I'm loving this, the old theme I had a hard time seeing what post was locked and what posts were being watched, now it's clearer than ever.

The best answer posts looks terrible, it's all white around the best answer post.

And last but not least, the members tabs in the sidebar are only filling 2 positions not 3, and leaves a big gap.

That is all I got for now, overall though I'm loving it.

I don't like the new theme (so far) at all, which includes:

1. Lay out bug (http://i.imgur.com/Z7XjWap.png) this is my biggest gripe!
2 The new font- purely opinionated here, but I don't like it. Isn't easy on my eyes like the other one was.
3. The red light by the Alerts area is gone, I miss it!
4. The envelope icon for Inbox is gone, I miss it!
5. The Discussions and Messages boxes. They are too large and seem unnecessary for their simple purpose.
6. My smaller avatar at the left side on the front page, why is it smaller? :(

If you need more feedback, I'm going to need to see the old layout so I can do a side by side comparison. I need to look at it if you want specifics on why I like it (the old one) better.

Will be glad when the old layout is back in with the ability to switch back, I miss it greatly. :(

I agree with @Macro miss a few things especially that red alert thingie. But the new theme is pretty, isn't it? Just a bit cunfused. Me being confused. Confusing ahhhh.

And in the web version this one bg with mostly grey made this one sentence right next to the banner unreadable since its also grey.

It's all a bit buggy but that's okay XD the site looks like a rmmv app lol

@Macro, I know. Still has to be fixed, so it's worth putting it out there.

I also dislike @Marco. I mean... the visibility of @ usernames and links. Especially in the rich editor, links are really hard to differentiate from regular text.

Also just noticed that likes and other trophies are separated (underneath their profile info to the left), making it harder to see how many likes people actually have.

@JibstaMan that's right, that's what I was missing! And if I get ONE new alert it tells me twice ? I mean this "you have 1 new notification". We need this red back, red fits too well with this whole forum, more red

It looks good, but not as good as the old theme. But part of me says they might just me not being used to it. XD

I agree with all of Macro's points, the icons, the font, the smaller avatars and the discussions/posts window.

I also agree with Cunechan, it is a bit confusing.
I also agree with MORE RED.

- The links are hard to see, as they're not red anymore. They highlight, but the red + underline was already good enough. @mention also is like this.
- I personally don't like the top bar sliding with me as it consumes vertical space, but LTN made a valid point about it being easier to click on alerts.
- There's an icon on the top-left that leads to ThemesCorp, is it not allowed to remove it?
- I think the posts and the background window they sit on has a bit too less contrast, the post window and the background slightly blend in for me. I'd suggest to put it into the color of the border, of that window, which is darker.
- The blue "unread posts" button beside topics kinda don't fit with the theme.

And the other things other people mentioned. It seems that this theme is a bit buggy. XD

The theme does look a bit more modern, but at the moment I would prefer the old theme. I've gotten used to it so it feels more like "home". XD
However, this theme may become better once some adjustments are made.

The theme is fine, but there's quite a things that I do not like.
It's kinda difficult difficult to immediately see if you have any alerts/mails.

The link highlight is white - why? It also messes up with picture links, E.g.:

Best answer post's background is white, too - even though it's supposed to be a dark theme.

User name colors are too dark for the theme now - with exceptions of Sponsors, Partners and Owner.

If you're talking about the bubble looking thing on the very first picture, it's because I changed the background by clicking the icon that is highlighted in that exact picture :D

As for about 99% of everyone's complaints on the forum, these will all be fixed soon enough. This is the beta of it, I have also enabled Dark theme for those of you who wish to not help find other bugs and everything with the theme and wish to go back to the use of the original theme.

Thank you all for pointing out so much flaws thus far, it helps me out a lot, and I will be updating it periodically throughout the week!

Pretty sure they don't have a sig...

EDIT: Just to say, if anyone's wondering "why" something is like it is (eg weird white and shadowed underlines on the hovers) they will be fixed, as they do not fit the design aesthetic! These are graphical errors - not how the theme is meant to look!

The "X" close button on status updates cover about 1 letter if your status update is long enough.

The status updates/profile post "show more" button (yknow, the 3 dots) are also no longer red, I feel like they'd be more noticeable if they were.

On another note, I would like to see somewhere on the status updates how many comments that status has, because I don't know unless I click the show more button (or comment and get notifications on it). I kinda like seeing if someone commented on someone's post but just as an observer. XD But that might be a separate topic.
