Opening and Closing Credits List

For the more professional side of film making, gamemaking and so forth, what do you think would be the proper way to list off all the credits? I wanted to be precise about it so I just gave it a good google guess with some wikipedia guessing. Then I thought, why make it anymore complex than it should be? Let's make it simple.

Opening Credits
  • (NAME OF THE STUDIO) or (NAME OF THE STUDIO) PRESENTS
  • (NAME OF THE PRODUCTION COMPANY)
  • POSSESSORY CREDIT/S
  • STARRING
  • (FILM'S TITLE)
  • FEATURING or WITH or ALSO STARRING
  • CASTING or CASTING BY
  • MUSIC or MUSIC COMPOSED BY or ORIGINAL SCORE BY
  • PRODUCTION DESIGN or PRODUCTION DESIGNER
As a variation some of the below may be noted:
  • SET DESIGN
  • COSTUMES or COSTUMES BY or GOWNS (older movies)
  • HAIRDRESSER
  • MAKE-UP ARTIST
  • SOUND RECORDING (older movies)
  • VISUAL EFFECTS DIRECTOR or VISUAL EFFECTS BY
  • EDITOR or EDITED BY
  • DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
  • PRODUCER or PRODUCED BY, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
  • BASED ON THE BOOK (PLAY, GRAPHIC NOVEL etc.) BY or FROM A PLAY/BOOK BY
  • BASED ON THE CHARACTERS BY or BASED ON THE CHARACTERS CREATED BY
  • (SCREEN) STORY or STORY BY
  • WRITER(S) or WRITTEN BY or SCREENPLAY or SCREENPLAY BY
  • DIRECTOR or DIRECTED BY

Closing Credits
In the absence of opening credits, these roles will often be credited in reverse order at the beginning of the closing credits.

You guys are welcome to post how you believe the order of credits should go. All thoughts are welcomed to it's entirety. I'd like to hear from you. :3

Very Respectfully,

In real films it makes sense to put the main crew and actors credits in the opening but in games we don't want to see long openings and intros and want to play as fast as possible. There are no famous actors how could draw attention and so on. A very short opening credit list like in "To the moon" is possible, but not as long as your samples in the first post.
I personally prefere a creditlist that can be opened every time through the menue and/or at the end. (The end one looks best with some outtakes, examples or little scenes. I love the endings of Pixar-films. <3)

I've only made one game and never even got to put the credits inside the game itself I was only able to do the text file in the project folder. Anyways what I have planned on and still plan on doing is adding a credits command to select on the title screen, as well as have them roll out at the end of the game. I don't think the beginning of the game should be any credits, maybe a quick 2-3 credits but it takes away from the game imo.
Cheers :D

To be honest, I'd probably just keep it simple and put them (the people to credit) all in a text file, or an option on the main menu (like how Blizzard did it). I never finished a game though so, this never even really occurred to me. It seems like it would be an important job though,, like a Works Cited page.

If you meant actor credits, I'd probably not do it at all. Wouldn't want to spoil the entire cast because I like to surprise people. :)
