The purpose of this thread is to show that there are a large variety of game types that RPG Maker can make, not just those traditional RPGs.

Please feel free to add additional concepts, as well as game types that you have already made.

1. Board Game Adventures. I made a few games that are 'played' on a map that looks like the traditional 'Monopoly' board game look.

2. Side-Scrollers. With this type of game, I usually use the standard height of 13, with a variety of lengths. I make sure that the character can only move in one direction, usually leftward/westward.

I've made a few "outside the box" style games. (cute)

Before I joined the resource team I was developing a side-scrolling game for mobile phones. Similar to Mario Run.

This was primarily using QABS by Quxios, which helped with basically every aspect. Pixel movement, collision boxes, custom sprite animation states, etc.

Then last year I developed a simple tapping game for android, where you simply tap "bubbles"... the tapping game engine was mostly coded along with common events.

A while back I also attempted a candy crush style game which had very promising results, but sadly I then learned so much and had done many things wrong so the project was scrapped... for now at least.

I've also made a few small mini games like simon says, slot machines, mazes, etc... but those were really just worked into an RPG not their own game. (jolly)
