New to RPG Maker and I am wanting to include the Tileset resources that the community has graciously given out. I have added the .png files to the img/tileset folder but RPG Maker isn't recognizing the new resources. Help.

Make sure that the directory is the correct directory... To check simple go to character generator and see where the file wants to be downloaded. You should know where to search after that.

Just to make sure, where is it that you're finding RPGMaker isn't recognizing the files? Did you do a proper import in the program, or just move them in? A few factors feel like they'd be good to know.

The copy of the game I have is through Steam. The game has an install location within "programs". With my limited knowledge of RMMV, I was unaware that the project is saved in a different location. Mine being in my local documents folder for some reason. I transferred the files to the correct folder (img/tileset) with the correct file type (.png) and it works now.

Sorry if this post is useless to the community, but maybe there is a chance to help someone else. :)

I've only ever imported my tilesets through the program itself (By opening the game project in MV, going to "resource manager" and then importing from there). Doing this also lets you choose the parts that are transparent and such. I'm not sure if there's an error if you don't do it in this method...

@Juneberry I just tried using your method and I must be doing it wrong because it deleted the resource I chose to import. From where are you importing it from? Within the program file or from desktop.

I learned to do it very simply (before import function was implemented) and I do it till now this way.
Simply copy tileset to project - img - tileset flooder, then customize it in database as I wish..
