Hey folks,

since the mods at the "official" forum are fans of censorship and giving their best to remove/stop any discussions in regards to 1.3 i'll ask here.

Is 1.3 still in developement or has it been paused/scrapped? In the state right now MV is a mess and it is necesarry that they fix their product so we can release ours.

Yeah, i know right? Unfortunately i barely know anything. They released it way too early as if they don't care about the quality. But thats no news. Hope they do something, i changed back to vx ace.

We're paying a whole lot for this engine and it's still kinda instable. And I don't even wanna think about these jerks who think it's okay to leave us like that

To be honest, at this point, I'm starting to think they are slacking and not caring a whole lot. Not only have they already implemented the Latest Pixi with MV (I got word direct from a hired developer of Pixi for MV) but they have yet to release it. I was told this over a month and a half ago, and here we are still waiting for them. I stopped using MV except for this one contest I'm in with a friend, my time has been up with these folks and unless they release something within the next few weeks, I'll probably be completely finished with them, no matter how much they improve. My knowledge of how to make an RPG from scratch without RPG maker is increasing everyday and my motivation to use RPG maker is decreasing with the knowledge gained. So there you have it, they already have the Latest Pixi installed which should fix a big chunk of major problems but they have yet to release it, what could they be doing? At this point I don't care.

I have to agree with LTN Games on this one. I had a friend who said there was some improvements over the whole thing like changing the PIXI.js for MV, some of the new updates for the engine, etc, but I don't exactly know what they are. Does anyone know what are the things they were originally planning to do in 1.3?

RPG Maker MV is improving and it's current situation right now is that I think it's under 80%. The rest of the 20% goes to the missing performance I still want to see from it.

As far as I know, there are a lot of people involved in the development of the program and that they surely can have someone work on it, right? I wonder that if they have announced it, then they should have somewhat made progress to it. I have to believe that it's either like what LTN already said or that they just don't care at all anymore.

Have you tried a different plugin for the overlay? At the moment I would wait for all plugins to be updated to work ith the newest Pixi and MV codebase, at the moment there are a lot of deprecated methods and functions being used.

The ram usage increase also appears when using no plugin but placing a very huge picture inside the parallax option of a map with a completly new project.

Also the new encryption features are not working, tested it too with a completly new project.
This error appears on a completly new project without any custom files, images, plugins whatever.



This "Update" feels like a bad joke to me.

So since I have the standalone version of MV from the site direct, I'm guessing I should hold off updating it then for a bit? (slanty)

I can't say anything about that, but pixi was definitely updated, let's give it a little more time for plugins to catch up with the new release before we write it off completely. But I'm happy with the update so far Finally we have the option for encryption built into the deployment menu This was a major thing I was looking forward to.

Edit: Oh wow heh, I havnt had the chance to mess with that yet. But kinda gross, Going to have to play with it myself and see if I have those same problems.

Try out the encryption on a completly new project and tell me if the game runs. ^^

Can someone provide the .js files for pixi2 from the 1.2 build? 1.3 kind of ruined my build and I need to downgrade but can't find a way how to.

Gross... what the heck, I wanted that feature to really be a thing too. The worst part is I have to make a new video now, to cover that. @_@ started my youtube channel this morning and now that I know this I have to make a quick update. akjsdhsdhkash lame.

EDIT: Well, I have a fix for the problem with the game not running when encrypted... In the RPG_Core.js file find the variable :

Decrypter.REMAIN ="0000000000"

and change it to

Decrypter.REMAIN ="0000000020";

Credit to biud436 on the rpgmakerweb forums. For coming up with that.

I cannot even open up RMMV after this update. It instantly crashes. Looks like I'll have to uninstall and re-install...

My window pop plugin seems to be in working order but my auto bust plugin will be updated later today to work with the new MV.

For those who want to update their previous project be sure to copy the index.html and copy everything in the js folder including the libs folder, do not copy the plugin.js file so you don't overwrite your plugin parameters. Don't forget to backup before doing so.

Yea I'm expecting a lot of plugins have probably been broken by this. I kinda feel bad for yanfly so many plugins to go through to make sure they still work. And potentially so many plugins to fix. @_@

Same goes for me. I made almost 100 plugins as of the moment. And for sure, there's a LOT of it that won't work.

I haven't updated it yet and it seems like I probably won't the next time. Guwh, I hate it, seems to bring more problems than it#s supposed to fix. Hope this is just a bad first impression and will be convinced otherwise. (Glad I'm working with ace right now anyway)

That's probably a good decision for now. I updated, notably Otherworld, but may go back to the original yet. It has its problems, but from what I can gather it's a major issue more for those with a lot of plugins relying on many of the methods that were changed to reflect the new GPU reliance.
