Is there a way to find out your map size in actual pixels? My graphics designer needs to know for the drawing of the map, and I actually have no idea how I'd go about finding that out. @LTN Games I think you're on right now, would you be able to help me out.

You can always go like this: if you have fe a
17x20 sqares map you can calculate it easily because you know that one sqaure is 48x48 pixels. So you do 17x48 and 20x48 and you have your two sizes :D that's how I usually do. I know the sizes for ace still (for the normal map it's 544x416).

Better tell your artist that he/she should make a 48x48 pixel grid so he/she knows where the actor can walk or not. Hope this helped ;)

I am a math nut, and I agree with @Cunechan . Multiply map squares by 48. I do a LOT of parallax mapping. Like Cune, I also have it 'gridded' when making them.

I believe there is an existing script / plugin that allows you to take your entire map you made and converts it into a picture. That alone would do the job and all you'd have to do is just check the picture size.

Other than that, you're best bet is to calculate as piggy-backed from the other replies. Simply (width)*48 + (length)*48

Yea, like everyone mentioned you can either do the math or use orange mapshot. I use orange mapshot because if I parallax I like to make the base image in the editor, then all I have to do is open the image in Photoshop, easy peasy lol
