looking for tutorials on how to make your characters bigger

So guys I am looking for tutorials on how to make your characters bigger I remember seeing one a while ago where it told me what proportions I needed to extend to make them taller while it doesn't look distorted. it also showed me what parts I didn't need to extend like the feet in the hands and other things.Really just any tutorial that explains how to make your characters bigger would be helpful because I tried to do that earlier but all's I did was not make them taller I just made the characters bigger and then they didn't fit in box
