Uh, I am a noob and have no idea what I'm doing, and nothing seems to work the way tutorials describe it. Like for example, if i tried to use the CTB Battle system plugin, and do everything the tutorial says, it would either error or just use the default battle system. Sorry for bothering you, but I was just wondering if I could get a little help [also i don't understand coding or computers or life 0.0 gdi] Also, photoshop is so confusing and idk if you can make the background transparent on paint, and i don't even know how. Im such a noob pls forgive.(glee) (ignored)

@MinisterJay Hello. It was a yanfly plugin, and i have awful anxiety which makes me super hesitant to ask anybody for help. Even posting this is kind of stressful. But I've updated lots of things, and I see other people using lots of things that don't work for mine and I

Welcome to the sheer insanity we like to call the forums! Feel free to ask any questions you may have, for we are all here to help! :)

In most of the cases where I've seen this, it is simply a matter of having the note tags in the wrong order, or missing out a tiny piece of code - something as simple as a " mark. I haven't tinkered around with the yanfly plugins much, but that is certainly the most common error. Perhaps try clearing all the note tags/commands for an event and re-enter them (cut and paste or manually). This would allow you to clear out the code that may be the cause of the issue, and replace it with the default.

Hope that helps, and again, welcome to craz...I mean, the forums. :D

Good evening, @Whiskerwax28 , and ...

... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. You'll have heard the expression 'Don't try to run before you can walk' or equivalent..? There's another : 'Softly, softly, catchee monkey.' Patience, gaining experience slowly but surely... I find that the common error is to try to emulate the 'crack', top experts, who have spent often, years learning what they do.
Go through the tutorials, and slowly acquire the knowledge you need, that's my advice. As for being hesitant or bashful: no-one can judge through a forum screen, and we're all here to support, so ask away if you've a query.
