I got 2500 dollars to make a game. How far will that get me? I want an example of an established title. Unless 2500 won't do that.

It all depends on how large the game you want but you can get quite a bit accomplished with that amount, I remember there being a fairly good article on calculating expenses for game development but I don't remember where I have seen it. I would start off with the basics first, like how many sprites you need, how many plugins are required, are you going for all custom assets? or will you buy DLC's to use instead?. Once you figure out the general amount of work you want in your game, then do basic guesstimates or the price. For example, you need 20 fresh custom sprites, this can cost anywhere from $5-20 per full sheet(including battle poses) So for 20 sprites you will need anywhere from $200 - 400. Then you need busts and or face sets to match and this can cost anywhere from $15 - 30 per bust image or face sheet, so you're talking at least another $300 - 500. Then you need to think of the plugins which may be required and plugins can cost a bit more than art, depending on complexity, like a whole new battle engine like an ABS can cost you a whole $2000 but something like utility plugins or smaller ones like time engines etc can cost anywhere from $20 - 100. I'd say 2500 will cover a large chunk of your game but it's something you will need to work out.

All original. Hand crafted, from the mind. Do not need to pay a musician. I will do the soundtrack. Story, dialogue, character design, levels, features, already drafted, just not fleshed and polished.

In here, you can get a branded game with $2500. In fact, you can even release a fully produced one, since USD is very much like multiplied by 50. So 1 USD is like 49.50 here. With that, since you have everything you need and you would only need to pay a few people for the other work you think you want to be paid and such, you'd get far. But let's talk on an international scale. Well clearly, you'd surely have to pay hefty amounts for other things you can't do or clearly manage. I'd say 2500 will get you to make a few plugins / systems / designs made, as well as you covering a few things like for the art (tilesets, busts, facesets, sprites, animations, etc - depending on how much you want to customize your game that is).

If you need plugins, just ask me. If you wanna spare your money for custom plugins that is.

Depends on how ambitious you are with your project and how well organised and ran it is. If you don't do your homework and do proper project planning then the money will disappear quicker than you realise.

Games can be made for less but they require the creator to have more skills to do stuff themselves. If you know how to sprite, that's one less spriter to worry about, if you can also script and write JS plugins, that's another less person to worry about.
