I'm 30. I first used RPG Maker 2000 when I was in high school many years ago. It was the first thing I ever learned about programming concepts.
I'd like to point out that... I'm not a professional programmer. I've taken classes in C and Ruby, and I'm familiar with how to code, but I don't do it as a job, and I've yet to write any JS code yet for my game.
I put myself down as a programmer for my profile because, I'm pretty decent at programming within the program itself. I understand how to use all the tools. I'm good with logic. Etc, etc. I'm sure many people have more experience than me, as I haven't used this program in years, but I'm not new.
I was really just checking out MV and was impressed with how much its improved since 2000. And... I ended up working on a game that I kind of like.
If I was being honest, I'm probably a much, much, much better writer than I am an RMMV programmer. But, saying that you're a writer is like saying that you don't know how to use the program. :P
But, that said, the writing and the programming and the making of the game is all that I'm good at.
I'm horrible at art. I really can't produce anything good in the visual department. But... I'm hoping that I can put out a demo of my game using freely available content for art and showcase what I can do. Maybe some artist will want to jump on board my project. Maybe not. Either way, it will be a fun, cool little game.
I joined here mainly to share ideas and problems with my coding.
