You may simply call me Zazenora (Or Zazen). I've been using RPG Maker since the 2000 engine was translated by the famous Don Miguel. RPG Maker IS the definitive set of programs that has brought me where I am today as an avid (yet still amatuer) game developer. I've recently been working on an RPG project, with graphics similar to that of some well known 2.5d perspective titles such as Grandia, Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc,. I realized I was beginning to go way over my head, especially since I was the only active member of my so-called team (PsyComicZ Entertainment), as my other team members have come and gone, and due to life, haven't been able to help out as much as they would like these days.
So here I am, rebooting an ever-growing project, and I have decided to go back to my roots and start here. It's taken me a few weeks to fully get back into the workflow that is RPG Maker, but I've found myself back working on my RPG Series. Hopefully someday soon I can begin to release more details about it, but what I will tell you is that it will be a decent sized project. I'm carefully planning everything out as I go at this point.

I am a metal-head at heart. More specifically 70's, 80's 90's and early 2000's metal. (Thrash and Power Metal). So I think some inspiration from my genre of choice may pour over into my game. (Minus the jRPG-style lyrics and vocals. I'm not bashing those songs you find in alot of jRPG games, but they just sound really cheesy and over-emphasized in my opinion.)

I grew up playing your common RPG titles that probably at some point led most of us to this point in our lives where we wanted to make role-playing games. My all-time favorite RPG is Chrono Trigger (Second being Chrono Cross). The entire Star Ocean series, Final Fantasy 9, 6, 4, 7, 8, 5, and 12 (In that exact order), Xenogears, Xenoblade Chronicles, The entire Breath of Fire series, Threads of Fate... You get where I'm going with this.
I was raised on the SneS, N64, and Playstation eras, so naturally my heart goes out to these titles more so than newer titles I've played in recent years. (The mentioned Xenoblade Chronicles is probably one of the best RPG's I've played in recent years for the Nintendo Wii. Great storyline!)

I enjoy making new friends, which is one reason I am here. I'm looking to become more social in places that you typically won't find interaction in the things I've come to love over the years. Facebook isn't exactly a good "Social Network" outside of family and a few friends I grew up with, and even less a good place to discuss my game as I have yet to find but two or three people even remotely interested in my ventures in game-development.
I hope to find some belonging here, maybe even a helping hand here and there. I have a small amount of experience in almost every aspect of game development (programming being my least-skilled part), and I can't and will not say that I am in any way an expert at such when it comes to me giving an opinion.

When I find the time is right I will begin to release the details of my game, give a little detailed sales pitch, and let it be known where I stand and what I need help with. The first game in this planned series has no plans of going commercial, but more as a learning experience (and actually getting through a complete project from start to finish), then move on to something I could consider going commercial with.

I apologize for this super-long introduction, but I'm not holding a gun to anyone expecting you to read all of this. I was asked to give an introduction and that's exactly what you got. :D So hello everyone!

Thanks :] sorry for the late reply, I tend to stay offline as much as possible when I'm in my work mode. I've got an RPG project going on with MV and an MORPG project that I'm doing back and forth. They both take place in the same universe. I'll have more details and an official project thread up when I get enough into it that I feel its ready to take some criticism.

Helloo there @Zazenora ^-^ from the sound of it, you seem to be WAAAAAAY more senioristic than I am XD I've just been starting on RPG Making three weeks ago XD but anyhoo, welcome to the community ^-^ and from the sound of it, you are a hardcore gamer *-* Hi-Five!!! ^-^ Anyhooo(again), I hope we can be friends and work together in the future!!

You might be much more experienced than me and all in RPG Making, but feel free to ask me and the others if you need help ^-^ salute!! -v-)>

I'm 24 years old, I've been using rpg maker since I was 12 when I first discovered the unofficial Don Miguel english translation of RPG Maker 2000. If not for it I doubt I would be as into game development as I am today. RPG's have played a major role in my life, most specifically with Chrono Trigger. That game blew my mind as a child even before I could read. I'd get my uncle to help me get past parts that I couldn't find out how to go beyond, and he finally just told me if I wanted to do it I needed to learn to read lol.. So I can honestly say video games have been a positive impact on me mentally. Video games was my motivation to learn to read and eventually led to spelling and grammar. xD Now, if I play a poorly translated title I easily find typos like it's an OCD. I'm not perfect of course, but I do believe that video games deserve just as much proof-reading as an essay or novel requires when writing.
