It takes a little bit of trial and error. The great news is that there is a diverse group of specialist on this forum that are willing to help out. There are also tutorials and resources available for you to use. I see that you are a writer. What kind of writing do you do? @yurif74 , welcome to the forums.

I found that learning the ins and outs of the maker was quite fun. Keeping track of everything may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it it gets much easier. Remember, if you have any questions we are here to help. =)

Learning it will take time but it comes rather quickly, just keep using it, everyday if you can and before you know it, you will know exactly what needs to be done. If you do have any troubles feel free to make a post in MV Support, I do my best to answer as many as I can and we also have many other members here who love to help out when it's needed, so don't be afraid to ask. i put Writer at the question RM MV skill, because i do not know RM MV and my best skill actually is writing the story :D
i'm a little good at pixel drawing but it require an IMPRESSIVE amount of time doing pixel graphic for me, and i have only spare times.
hovever i was able to make a dragon SV_actor sprite from an original one (walking sprite) drawn by Nightly at FSM
it took 2 (not full) days of work :o)
Feel free to use&improve it
