Disable Character Movement?

Is there anyway to temporarily disable player movement during my parallel/autorun events? Clicking or using arrow keys during a "Wait" period between text boxes still moves the character. I don't guess this is a huge problem but for me with some "set move route" sequences during my intro it breaks my game!
*I have the same exact setup in Ace and it works fine*

Help?

Thanks!

I thought by using an autorun event, it prevents anyone from moving. If you still move while you should't, I believe it might be some program error from the engine developper. The parallel process can't stop you from moving until the message pops up, and even when the message pops up, the character will still be able to move. Try only with autorun and see if this problem persists.

Thanks Rise Evil. Changing the one I had set to parallel to autorun worked like a charm. Not even sure why I had it set to parallel?!?

I see, but as you should know, the parallel process means that it will run in the background without interfering with the player. Parallel process can be used to make special effects on specific map such as making a flash effect in the background, or adding a timer when you're making an escaping situation eventing etc. ^^
