Can't change my view settings now...

I apologize if this thread is put into the wrong section.

I'm now using Windows 8.1. I have been playing around with RPG Maker MV and there was no problem at all. But now I have a problem with changing my folder view. The problem started when I played a MV game through a website. It was about 15 mins, suddenly my computer crashed appearing a death blue screen (I guess it's kinda XP's blue screen) saying something like my computer is missing something @@ and forced to reset.

After restart, my computer looks working normally until I find out that I can't change my folder view setting now?
For example: I have my MV folder set as Tiles mode, now it changed to Detail mode. I tried many times to change its setting back (Tiles mode), but whenever I close the folder and open it again, the view back to Detail mode. The same problem with other folders.

I don't know if someone has the same issue or knows how to fix this, please help me.

Have you linked your account to your microsoft ID?

And what i would do, is to make a new user and see if the problem is still there.

ps: not sure what happens when you delete a microsoft ID account, settings for that account might be synched to the cloud....

I dont remember linking my account to Microsoft.

Then you can just create a new user profile and if that works, move files and forget the non working profile.
