Im thinking of a battle system similar to Lufia 2, Vay, or even RPG Maker 1 for PS1 (with sprites). I want to be able to see my characters and the animation effects of enemies' attacks. I do have programming experience and an active imagination...just am new to this software and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I find a LOT of material on VX Ace when I use Google (searching for MV, mind you), including some screenshots of exactly what I'm looking for. I'm assuming that since it's been done for Ace that it wouldn't be too tough to work out. Yanfly's plugin is about as close as I've been able to get but it uses the SV battlers and doesn't partition the actor stats into individual columns.

I have already made a plugin that does this, called the Battle Engine Lotus, that makes action sequence for each character. They are inlined below the battle status, but you can change their direction to either lower or upper portion of the battle scene.

Well it couldn't learn to learn js as I go along, but I presently don't have the know-how. I only pointed my experience out to say that I understand the process, logic, thinking, etc. involved in it. I played a lot with the PS1 RPG Maker.

As for Lotus, I will message you separately Soul. I did look into it and play around but I have a few questions. It looks promising though.
