How do you all feel about adding ads to the forums to help the forum out a lot more. It'd help make the forum more money to put towards amazing events, contests, etc. By allowing us to pay more for custom work, content, etc. We'd be able to provide some custom resources for you all, prizes of paid resources, and lots more.

I want this forum to be community made as much as possible, and any major change like this, I want you all to help with. So vote, and voice your opinions below :)

I have nothing against ads as long as they aren't popping up in my face or vulgar. I totally understand needing to have an extra source of revenue, so I think it's just fine.

Edit: I'm not for or against the idea, so I didn't cast a vote. Is there any way we could have a neutral option? xS

They'd be PG, as well as there would be one on the sidebar at the very bottom, and one at the footer. That'd be it. I will not spam the forums with unneeded ads if I do add them.

Hmm. I'm not too sure about this. Most people have ad blockers these days. But, as Amysaurus said, it is alright to put up ads for extra revenue and all that money stuff, blah blah blah.

most people do have adblock, but some people still do not. Especially those using the new edge. It's still some sort of extra revenue to put back into the site, and give back to you all for being an amazing community.

I have to agree. Some people still don't have an adblock. Yea, I understand about the revenue as not many people are sponsors or partners. Oh, and also, nice cobwebs for Halloween. Spooky. :pumpkin:

As long as it's not intrusive, I see no problem. And besides, I've turned off my AddBlock on sites I trust like; Google, Google Play, Youtube, RPGMakerMV.Co (this forum), Amazon and video game's official web pages etc.

I'm voting yes for now but I'd like a revote a month after the ads are implemented. If you're willing, I'd like to know how much money it brought in for that month. Based on those 30 days I think everyone will have a better opinion if the ads should stay or go. As many people said, as long as they don't get in the way I don't mind them.

I do have Adblock, so it wouldn't bother me at all. I understand it would be nice for the site to generate a bit of revenue since I'm assuming not a ton of people are sponsors or partners yet (I'm working on budgeting a little to do so myself <3). For those without Adblock, what are you doing? Get it! Skip YouTube ads too if you have Firefox, it's awesome!

I'm all for voting a month later, though we may want to wait until November or December, after maybe a wave of members join after the game's release?

I am in favor of advertisement. I am also in favor of you expressing the need for everyone to donate. We should not be afraid to ask for donation of something we all love. The ideal world is a free one, but we're not quite there yet.

I voted yes. But I hope advertising is decreasing as people donate to the forum. So I hope that everyone who has the opportunity to sponsor does. ^^

I honestly think this decision is best left to "upper management." Definitely bring in the ads, but don't do it at the expense of the visitors. They should be on the sides at the very least.

Also, I am an adblock user. So they won't be reaching me anyway.
