Well, I have been considering MV for about a year now and finally decided to =). I found your forum from asking around for way to adjust models for a purchase package PVG Sci-Fi Tiles as its in vxace format. I took a look around and found out starbird has a package for a bargain price that already is in MV format. Then I found all kinds good resources here so I figured I should sign up for your forums =).
Short bit about myself.
Closest ive ever come to finish a project was years ago when I was working with Realm Crafter. I did like the fact it used Blitz3d for the coding language and found it pretty easy that way, but networking code and getting the severs for an mmo etc I learned over a few years. That I should of started on a far smaller project :p.
My personal computer OS preference is Linux. I actually work with Ubuntu, Mint, Centos and Open Suse regularly.
Ive, been in IT for over 20 years. I also webhost business clients as part of my IT work.
I would love to someday make a living making games, but know the time it takes:p and time I have ends up used to make my living. So after several years of no game designing. I figure I would dip my toes in the water and see how it goes.
First, i ended up behind watch how to videos. Now I am going be eating more time trying out these tiles im going purchase :P.
