Its all very possible with MV. However what you are looking for requires eventing/a little coding knowledge. Googling what you are looking for yielded many good results.

I guess I'll show a couple maps of my game: Killer Gin. ;0) Without events the maps look very empty, especially the first one. They are also all missing proper lighting but Oh well, you get the idea

I hope the game guide helps players understand Homestead mode a little better. This is just a short term fix, in-game tutorials incoming.
