Not really sure how everything here works yet, but it say to introduce myself. Just a young adult trying to make make games honestly. Im only 1 guy though working on many projects, and I prefer a fantasy genere setting above all others simply for the amount a creativity it allows.

Hi @Dunlap. How're you doing? Welcome to the community. What kind of writing do you do?
It honestly depends lol like stated Im a single person building my games with my studio title A Story Time Game, so I do all my story work. I've alwayed loved creative writing. As far as what im best at, that would be fantasy settings. But as of last night, I've decided to put some work into a new SiFi setting game with space pirates, so this should be a new and fun experience for me. Any tips on the whole space pirates genere? Any recomanded tile set's? Aside from MV's standered SF tiles?

Nice to meetcha, Dunlap! What's your favorite part of writing? I'm a writer and editor myself. If you ever need editing help, let me know (though I'm picky on what I'll work on). :D

I like a mix of Sci-Fi and Fantasy myself. I like your studio name! You should make a game with time travel to me, based on that name. Hehe.

I think in regards to tilesets, it'd depend on what kind of places you plan to have besides the space aspect. I'm still working on figuring out my own, but since I don't have much space work yet...Not sure. As for general tips on space pirates: Think long and hard about what the pirate's 'ship' is like. What makes a space pirate different from a regular pirate (besides the space aspect)? Why did the characters become pirates in the first place?

I actually hate the editing aspect of writing -_- Im always misspelling or not using the correct words lol but what I love most on writing, is just having the ability to create something of your own. Something that people will enjoy. To have the power of creativity and world creation if you think about it. As a writer, are we writing about modern life? Or fantasy? When you write fantasy, it's like being the god of that world your writing about. Creating everything. Designing all things, and giving life to thia world too...i feel like I went overboard on that explanation haha

If everyone that wrote liked editing, I wouldn't have a job right now (I'm actually an editor for a literary magazine outside this xD). I understand you not enjoying it. Sometimes I hate it myself! Especially editing my own work...There's a reason editors exist is my point. :P I only like editing otherwise partially because I have severe OCD with language.

I totally see what you mean about writing a world of your own. It really is like playing god. I find writing a great outlet for emotional problems too- if I get really frustrated and angry, I turn my problem into a character to murder. Did I mention I've been in a mental institution before and such? I didn't? er....xD

What about space pirates that have access to magical powers and invisible horses of death that they ride on across space? No spaceships... invisible horses capable of space travel.

...Don't mind me.

Well hello there! I do so welcome you to the forums and hope that you enjoy your stay here! I wish you the best of luck with your many projects!
