2 images per signature

I went to add a new image to my signature but got an error message saying I can only have at most two images.

Is there some reason for this?

From what I know, is there is a maximum image limit for non sponser or partner members. Although I thought the max was 3 images, though there is a small way around this by putting your two or three images together into one image. Though keep in mind the rules require you to have less than 300px high signature. I am sure @Xyphien will either ninja this post or clarify more for you :)

There was a limit, but you're right. 2 seems extremely too small, and the reason behind the limit was to stop people from abusing the signatures, and adding huge images, or a bunch of 300px images thinking that was alright. I'll go ahead and up it to 5 images though, as your signature is more than efficient :)

Is there a way to have separate limits based on the size of the images in the signature?

Or perhaps a max total pixels taken up? lol

What I went ahead and did, is allowed for 2 lines. Therefor you can fit as many images as you'd like as long as they are not more than 2 lines long. This way it fixes both problems :)

How does the forum count a line? Is it based on how many carriage returns there are? For example would you signature be considered two lines?

Yes, my signature counts as 2 lines, if that helps explain it a bit more.
