How would you all like to have a currency and point system in place on the forums as well as having an Avatar system displayed. Let me break each one down separately for you. Or have a pet system as well.
With the currency/point system, we would be able to have a forum currency where you could do different things. This means that we'd be able to provide things to you at a cost of your forum's currency. We could allow members to buy the ability to use custom user backgrounds prior to being level 10, and things of that sort. As well as Avatar items, which will be explained below.
Having an avatar system would be like having the character creator on the website. This way, you'd be able to make your own RMMV character
to display on the website. This will be displayed under your badge in the post area of the forum so everyone can see it. You'd be able to buy the character base, and then buy each upgrade for a specific amount of forum currency to custom build your own character.
We could also have a pet system in place instead of a character system in the post area. This way you can pick a type of egg you'd like to have. Example, Phoenix Egg, Dragon, Sphinx, etc. And then you can buy upgrades to the pet. For example, you'd buy a Nest, then upgrade it to a Phoenix Egg, then you'd pay to have the egg start cracking, then the egg to hatch, then a child phoenix, teen, young adult, adult, and then elder.
But I'd replace it with the RTP of RPG Maker, or pay someone to make our own custom ones if we're unable to do this. All of these would be purchasable with the forum currency. Let's say each post gives you 1 point. And each hair costs about 30 points. That means that 240 posts would be required in order to completely customize your character. It'd give incentive to post more, as well as allow you to customize your profile and everything even further. I think it'd be a great addition to the forums.
I'd like to get your opinions on the matter, and see how you feel about all of this. Vote in the poll, and let me know what you feel on all of this :) All of this will cost about $200+ so I'd need to open up donations to get it, and whatever amount we don't receive, I'll just pay out of pocket for which is no big deal, however, help is always appreciated :) I'd have to get the avatar creator to custom code some things in for us, so the price can change depending on what they'd charge for that.[/soiler]
