Music Kaimen's MV Music Pack

Hello there and welcome to my little WIP thread. As you may or may not know, I'm planning on releasing a music pack for MV which is, unlike my "stock music", going to be available for commercial use. Just so you know, I do want to sell this music pack once it's done.
In this thread you're going to get previews and samples of what you can expect from this soundtrack collection. I will update this thread whenever I finish a new soundtrack for the music pack. Soundtracks that are not part of this pack will be posted in my music thread to keep things organized. :)

Preview #01 - "Desolate World"

I'm not quite sure how this theme is supposed to be used. I can see it as (world) map theme or dungeon theme. Maybe even as town theme depending on the setting.

This is clearly an action/battle theme. And I guess it shows that I've been listening to Yoko Shimomura's work a lot lately, huh... :D

Thank you! I'm always trying my best when composing. ^_^
And yes, I saw that you commented on "Desolate World" on Soundcloud. I don't know if I would call it "jauntiness" that's in the song. It's not what I had pictured, really. But I do admit, it is kinda happy... in a sad way.

You're right, not "jaunty" as in cheerful, more like jaunty in stride but with shoulders slouched. (And for the life of me I can't think of the right word.)

Alrighty, new preview. Just finished this one today and it's one of those calm themes I'm so good at making. :D

Preview #03 - "Secret Places"

I think it's safe to say that this is a dungeon theme. Fitting for a forest area or maybe some ruins. :)

I wanted to create a slight tension with the harp in the background. I pictured a scene of a deep dark forest. Hence my choice of instruments. :)

It's the right choice in my opinion. Makes it mysterioso energico con anima.

Man, this track kept me busy for over a week... It never took me this long to finish a song until now. :D

Preview #04 - "Spirit of Mischief"

Since it took me so long to finish this track I have no idea what I originally intended it to be. So... now that it's done, I'd say it could fit as character/event theme or as dungeon theme. Maybe more the latter... XD

Preview #05 - "Bargain and Barter"

I'm quite fond of the rhythm going on in this one. I imagined a busy business town, marketplace and a tavern when I made this. I'll admit though, I still need to do some finishing touches. At the moment, it's still a little too repetitive. XD

Okay, I tried to make it sound a little more "Zelda-esque" but it seems no matter what I try, I can't defy my composing style. So here's a (water) dungeon theme for you! :D

Why thank you very much for this compliment. I'd love to be an alchemist actually and in some way, I already am one. Only do I not concoct potions but I brew nice melodies and songs for you to enjoy. Melodies and songs with all kinds of effects. :)

Hello from Spain! Just to say that your job is really awesome. If you don't mind, I will use it in my first non commercial game. I have just started in the world of 'game developing', but actually, I am taking it like a job, and this next year is going to be my studies, so I hope that you keep doing such a great job :)

No worries. You can also use the soundtracks of my MV Music Pack once it's done if you so wish. Just keep in mind that my MV Music Pack will require purchase. At least that's what I'm planning. For all my other songs only my terms of use apply and you're free to use the ones in the resource section for any non-commercial projects. :)

Important update, guys!
As you all know, I had planned on selling the MV Music Pack once it's done. Well, I am proud to announce that this will no longer be the case. Instead, the songs will be uploaded to the resource section one after another with a little time in between the uploads. I decided that my stock resources should all be free for non-commercial use and the MV Music Pack is going to be one of these. So stay tuned for the songs to come to the resource section. :)
