I hear people say "Rpgmaker 2k3 is the best"
Others "Rpgmaker XP has more power for pros"
Others "Vxace"
Now "MV"

I want to make a old school game alot like FFVI style. Final Fantasy SDK owner says XP is for pros.

I'm so lost on which one I should use. Honestly i like the older graphics better. FFV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger.
It boggles my mind on which to use. I have 2k3, Xp, Ace and MV.

Which is best to make a FFVI style game people?

Since you have MV mentioned, it can be put here, and all versions will be talked about. The previous thread location was for if a person had questions or comment about the forum itself. In this category, you will find more responses regarding this particular question.

All RPG Maker versions have their pluses and minuses. Retro-style images can be found/made for all of them. What I really like about MV is that there are four different types of game deployment: Mac, Windows, Android, and Web Browser. With the other versions, only Windows deployment is available. MV allows different types of 'Pro.' There are different areas of game design. MV allows each specialist to do their own thing. Not everybody need to be a plugin maker/scripter.

MV is the version that allows the game creator to be a 'pro' at whatever area they desire.
