Hello Colleagues, everyone loves to save money, and do things themselves. This includes SEO. SEO everyone knows is extremely popular, and can be extremely time consuming to do, especially if you have never done it before. This includes research, knowing Panda, and all of the other ever changing google rules, etc. that come out. You need to know which sites have do-follow, the dos and don'ts to promoting your forum, how to do it, etc. This can be a lot of information to take in, and if you do not know exactly how to do it correctly it could actually have a negative effect on you. This is why I personally think you should allow a trained professional to do it.
My other forum has over 200k monthly traffic going to the site.
I put in around $30-60 into SEO a month. Which has done me a lot of good on my forum. About 80% of my new traffic is from google. If you can tell by the returning visitors vs. the new visitors is my stay rate is pretty high. More members stay with the forum than leave.
