Red Eon Studios is a new game development studio, founded by Lewis Binnie and Ash Reddy. We are currently developing our debut game, Time and Time Again, which is an RPG game focusing on the story, puzzles and collectibles. The game is being developed within the RPG Maker MV engine, however everything is being customised and created; sprites, scripts, eventing and music.


We are currently in need of other members to expand the team and develop this game with us. We will have regular game meetings, a discord to communicate and at least two or three nights a month where we play games, chill out and have fun!

Our paid positions are:

Visual Director:

• Paid Position; every couple of months. Bonus pay if job done above and beyond needed.

Responsible for :

• Managing the graphical artists and delegating the needed tasks based on skill, time-frame etc
• Having a general artistic vision for the game and working closely with the team to develop the game’s artistic style.
• Commisioning and creating some of the concept art.
• Working as either a Spriter or a Graphics Artist on the game.

Spriter:

• Paid Position; every couple of months. Bonus pay if job done above and beyond needed.

Responsible for :

• Creating the sprites for face graphics, character sprite sheets and icons.
• Working within a certain art style (TimeFantasy - https://timefantasy.net)

Graphical Artist:

• Paid Position; every couple of months. Bonus pay if job done above and beyond needed.

Responsible for :

• Creating the concept art for characters and locations
• Designing and creating the promotional graphics, such as posters, profile pictures or logos.

Gameplay Programmer:

• Paid Position; every couple of months. Bonus pay if job done above and beyond needed.

Responsible for:

• Using the RPG Maker MV engine to event cutscenes and implement dialogue into the game
• Working with RPG Maker MV plugins to enhance the gameplay and call plugin commands within events
• If possible, assisting with frame rate issues and performance fixes.
• Fixing bugs found within the game.

There are some positions which are needed but we are unable to pay for. These are :

Writer:

• Unpaid position; given full credit, use of work on portfolios and the chance to work with a team.
• Responsible for working with Lewis, the creative director and current writer, to develop the story, plot, characters and more.
• Also responsible for continuity checking
• Must be able to work with google docs.

Music Composer:

• Unpaid due to us already having a composition team, but more help on this would always be appreciated.
• Responsible for helping create the music tracks, sound effects or ambience tracks.
• Report to the games Audio Director with work and suggestions.

Quality Assurance Tester:

• Unpaid position; given full credit, use of work on portfolios and the chance to work with a team.
• Responsible for testing the game every couple of weeks, possibly more, and reporting any major in-game bugs or design flaws missed by the team.
• Don’t need to be too active, just active enough.
