PAC918 tries to Photoshop

I'd like to get some feedback on my work. I'm trying my hand at Photoshop. I have always been able to do some minor jobs within the program and most of these are still going to be considered minor but I'm trying, LoL.

First up is a Title Screen for Patrico: To the West (concept/WIP)

The middle image is a MV title screen that I'm thinking about using but it is also serving as a place holder for now.

Looking good, keep up the good work. Just a few notes, you should make the font the same as your signature, it's called Arabella and the color used was #18130b. I was also thinking maybe you should make the picture look older, maybe make it a vintage effect but that's just a suggestion, overall your work is looking good.

@LTN Games Thanks for the quick words. I'll definitely swap fonts when I get on the right computer, LoL. When you say make the picture look older, which part or did you mean the whole thing?

I meant the picture inside the scroll. I feel it looks too new looking to be on an old scroll. I believe it will really spice it up. Happy photoshopping.

Started to work on applying a Sepia filter to the center image. Adjusted main post.

Awsome, yea that seemed to have make a big difference already, everything is starting to blend in better now. I was also thinking maybe try making the edges of the picture in the scroll more ripped up, or just blurred into the scroll , right now they are very sharp and look as though someone just stuck it on the scroll recently. Keep up the good work :D

*Image updated in first post* Tore the picture up a bit. Corrected lighting and shadow effects coming from candle (the source). I think its starting to look pretty decent! Next task will be the font swapping...not looking forward to that as it took me awhile to get the title the way it is currently.

I think it looks cool, and in my opinion maybe just have a little less shadow on the text and around the map photo area because it's making the text look a little too dark (at least to me).

agree with this. overall looks amazing, but the text's shadow is a bit too dark. GREAT job though!

Hi.

Well, i don't know your intention but be careful with the shadows.

If you want the text to seems like is painted in the scroll i suggest remove the shadow. Painted letters don't make shadows.8)
But... if you want it to seems like be floating in the air in front of the scroll or be parts of letters attached to it, that's ok.:thumbsup:
