What I'm envisioning is a game with a skill level built something like Skyrim's own. The more you use a particular skill, the more it develops. Maybe, like in Skyrim, leveling up these skills is how you gain general experience with which to level up. NOT just with defeating monsters in battle. What I'm aiming for is for the player to have more ways of advancing the game than just grinding monsters.
Now while there ARE alternatives, like introducing perks like Fallout 4 or manually advancing these skills in a separate window, I feel it would be most realistic if these were developed via hands-on experience or reading something like skill books. If at all possible, I'd really like this to be a reality. I need a Plugin or a plan that will basically enable different skills on display and their levels as well as individual experience for each of them.
I'm aware that this can be done via non-scripting, with some complication, but I must know all my options. If someone can give me a hand and advise a script or good event plan, I'd appreciate it.
