With Sponsor, I presume you are able to change your title to a staff title like 'Administrator', right? That means that people who sponsor can impersonate staff. This should be made as a rule anyways but is there anyway to disable making your custom title a staff rank?

Already done. You're unable to make your title Administrator, Admin, Moderator, Mod, or Staff. I appreciate you looking out for us, it means a lot to have members showing such support for the well being of the site :)
