Hi guys xD
I just started to work with MV and i'm having trouble to put .png files to use in the software to create a hero tht's different of the default sprites. Is this possible or there is a way?
Thx in advance.
Ofcourse you were helpful man xD Thx for the help. Do you know where i can find more sprites and faces? If you have a link or a post to share i would be more grateful. With the help of you guys i'm start to get the result i want xDDisclaimer: I'm far from expert, but...
The files for MV are arranged in specific folders, which determine the file's usage. For the Actors, there are three folders; characters, faces and sv_actors (sv for Side View, as in battle scenes...). When defining an Actor, the three graphics seen come from each of these folders. Any png file placed in these folders becomes candidate for selecting a graphic. That's where things start to get slightly more complex.
The png files will only show good results if the graphic content corresponds to a very specific format regarding image size and place in the complete png file. To replace a face, for instance, the new faces must be in exactly the same dimensions as the 'standard' ones. There are templates to assist in creating new characters, faces etc; these obviously help to align the individual elements inside the total png.
Is this the kind of information you were looking for..? Does this help..? Are there further questions needing answers to get you started..? If so, fire away.

Thz man, i will do this xDYou can look here in the resources section xD we have soooo many. Rmwebs also has alot, but you can find them everywhere :D play around eith google and search rpg maker forums and be aware of the artists license, what you can use and for what and the conditions for using their art. Good luck :D

I created some chars, but where do i save them? Cause they save as a file.json (or something like this) and not .png, there is a specific local to save the char?@McFlyBR , do you know that there is a character generator, that is built in with RPG Maker MV? This way you can customized the character/face/SV Actor for each character you make.
If you used the MV Character Generator, and then selected each: character/face/sv_actor, and gave a name for them, they are automatically saved in the appropriate folder as a .png image.Thz man, i will do this xD

You are a life saver man xD It worked perfectly xD Thank you so much!In the character generator, above the save button you're talking about there should be a set of four buttons labelled something along the lines of face, walking, hurt, and battler. Pressing these will bring up a box with specific parts of the character you generated, which provide an export button for saving each piece as proper .png files.
A lot man xD Thank you so much xDyou go to your project's folder >pictures >characters and put the png file there :D When you open your project now you can choose the spritesheet you inserted. Hope this helps^^
