Hm? Opinions Needed

I wanted to have an interface with different variables and etc display. A screen border basically around the game screen. How does this look? (Ignore the map :))

I think the design is really nice (the colors look great!), but the characters on the left look a bit smushed in comparison to the gemstones on the right.
