Error 500 locked me out over 30 mins

I lost a bunch of posts I had typed up, this was really a problem for me. The forum kept failing to load and I had a internal 500 error or something. It wasn't my internet, as I was able to load other sites just fine.

I think it's a server issue, it happened to me about 20minutes ago but only lasted a few minutes. The host may have been doing server work.

This is what most likely happened. Our hosting company was probably doing a brief server maintenance.
