Composer - Just Doing the Intro Thing

Hey all, my name is David Lister. I'm a composer based out of Seattle, Washington. My work is primarily symphonic, with influences from Igor Stravinsky, Maurice Ravel, Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams and Bela Bartok.

My day job is in computer science as a systems analyst, but almost every spare moment is spent writing music for orchestra, high school band, ballet and video games. In recent years I've mentored young, aspiring composer's and that has been a very rewarding experience. It's amazing how much one can learn by simply teaching their own craft.

I'm always inspired by the incredible artists on sites like this one. What you guys do is amazing! I'm currently engaged on multiple projects at the moment, but still thought I'd say "Hi" to this newer RPGMaker forum.

Welcome to the forum, David! I've never heard any of your work myself, but I've heard nothing but good things. I absolutely agree about mentoring others - some of my best improvements in drawing have come from finding new ways to teach others.

I listened to some of your works on your Soundcloud, and I must say you do your style (symphonic, as you mentioned) extremely well! I can see it being in some truly great projects.
