I've noticed since VX the tilesets seem very squared and uniform which makes creating cliffs look somewhat unrealistic. The corners make it difficult to distinguish between cliffs in the foreground and cliffs in the background. It's not helped by the lack of shading for taller cliffs
Notice here it's not easy to distinguish automatically the edges.
On the cliff edges I would like the corners to be made to be more rounded, whilst also having diagonal straights available, to give a lot more variety and seeming depth to them. As much as I like many of the features added to the engine, I really do dislike the art style.
