I second HotFireLegend.
Using OBS myself, extremely simple to use. And works well, as well.

I use Bandicam, it's really easy to use. I tend to edit out the watermark with another program, however.

CamStudio is a nice, lightweight free screen recorder. I use it from time to time, but it stopped being updated in 2013, so visually it's a little outdated, not that that affects your videos.

OBS is also a great recommendation.

Camtasia Studio 7 is what I use. Reasons:

• HD Support. 1080 x 720 or higher.
• Multi-file extension support.
• Cam Recorder has a focus and easily adjustable to any screen place.
• System Audio and Voice Audio are of different channels.This makes two audios easily to be dissected towards production.

If you aren't looking for over 10 minutes and can stand a watermark (which can often be removed in post processing anyway, I'd personally recommend Bandicam, as it can be used to record from openGL windows or over a chosen area of the screen, and the find window command is ideal for this, I actually bought the legit version about a year ago because I knew I'd be using it for a long time.

Most of my baseline recordings are done with it.
