This is the "Worst RPG Maker Game Ever Contest", right? A part of that includes bad grammar. The English-Latin-English and the English-Japanese-English is to make the most awkward sentences possible.

I find English-Latin-English only works with sentences rather than just words, as does English-Japanese-English.
