Name: Windowskin Tool
Version: 2.7
Author: Companion Wulf
Release Date: 5 March 2016
Note: This plugin will soon be deleted and replaced with a completely new version for MV v1.3.
DESCRIPTION
This plugin enables you to change the default windowskins in-game from within the Plugin Manager.
Note: There is a bug that doesn't automatically refresh the Title Screen command colour and instead renders it as black. This is resolved as soon as you go into Options or return to the Title Screen in the game. A temporary fix overrides the default colours, but this may also affect any font colours you choose for windows. I will be addressing this as soon as I can.
SCREENSHOT
None are really needed.
USAGE
Parameters
There are only 2 parameters to set the windowskin you'd like to use and the windowskin opacity. The latter is to address a problem that may occur at times where the system window colour overrides the windowskin settings (you may still also have to tweak the window colours).
Windowskin Folder
Create a new folder called "windowskins" under "img/system". All windowskins go into this folder. This will also be available in the "Resource Manager" (MV v1.1) for you to import windowskins directly for use in your game.
You can use your old VX/VXA windowskins in MV. Just upscale them to 192x192 and import them into the windowskins folder.
Note: There is still a bug I haven't fixed yet (but I will in a future update), where undefined (unknown or misnamed) windowskins will throw an error.
Plugin Commands
You can preset the default windowskin to your own, change the windowskin in-game and reset it to either the preset default or the system default.
In the event Plugin Command, use the following commands:
ChangeWindowskin <windowskin_name>
where <windowskin_name> is the name of the windowskin you want to change to.
To change the windowskin to default (as set in the "Default Windowskin" parameter, not MV's default), use:
ResetWindowskin
If you want to use MV's default Window (for whatever reason), use:
ResetSystemWindowskin
