No permission to download
Here are some advanced shadows. You can set the shadow so that your charas can walk under them.

Shadows.png Here is a before and after example.

For more effects you could also add Sinnistar's Light rays https://rpgmakermv.co/resources/light-rays-overlays.876/

You can use this for commercial or free games. I used MV Tiles so you will need to own MV to use them.
You may edit and re-post. Just give me credit for the originals.

The shadow tool has always been too rigid and boring-looking. And attempting to use the smudge tile from Dungeon tileset A to darken areas caused more problems than it solved. I've only been using this tileset for a few minutes, and it's already really making my dungeon maps pop. This tileset is a much better shadow tool than the actual shadow tool. Bravo!

Thank you glade you are happy with it and enjoying it.
:)
You sir, are a god! This pack is exactly what a developer that doesn't want the full extent of parallax mapping, but still wants to give heir game an edge to all the other RPG Maker games! Such a shame you don't have a tip page ):
I've been looking for something like this for too long, thank you heaps!
Perfect! Thanks again.
It really cool. I not like vanilla shadows. But this very like.
Excellent little idea! Works great and will make things far better for sure.

The shadows that came with any rpg maker has sucked you walk on top of the shadows and the shadows always went under tables and items. Only way was an over lay. With mv's new layer this type of shadowing is better. now you can walk under the shadow and use the latter at the same time.
